Here are some of the activities on at the Festival:
There will be make-our-own pizza cooked in the community garden wood-fired pizza oven. Bring your own toppings to share, preferably in a reusable container. Pizza or baking tray also greatly appreciated.
Paper making anyone? Come along to the Festival of Forgotten Skills Sat 6th Oct and help Mary make some uniquely Glen Forrest Community Garden paper.
Come and try your hand at making a mosaic. Janette will be there to show you how. Seen the new Mundaring Seed Library? Like to learn a few tips and tricks to seed
Need a button sewing on? A favourite item of clothing that needs a small repair?.Kim will show how it is done or give you some handy hints.

|Olden Days Games
The local Guildes will be at the Festival with a bunch of olden days games. Show the kids what the oldies used to play when they were kids.
|Origami Plant Pots
Tomoe will show you how to make nifty pots with origami paper folding. And if you’re keen she’ll show you how to make cranes or other cool stuff!

|Garden Tool Maintenance
Any of your garden tools needing a little TLC. Bring them along to the festival and learn from John how to get back in good shape.
There will be a pruning workshop with gardener and trainer Ralph. He will demonstrate and explain pruning techniques on the community garden fruit trees.
For the littlies there will be good old fashioned story reading. Something for everyone at the Festival of Forgotten Skills.

Got excess garden produce? Veggies, fruit, seedlings, potted plants. How about sharing with your local community at the Festival of Forgotten Skills.

Bring along any good quality clothes you no longer need, including children’s clothes, for others who may enjoy them.
Also any books you’d like to pass on to someone else to read.
